Our occasional Sunday evening special services continued in June with an evening looking at Richard Dawkins' bestselling attack on religion in general and the Christian faith in particular. Vicar Simon Coupland shared what he sees as some of the weaknesses in Dawkins' arguments on June 29th, and the sermon can be heard or downloaded from our sermons page. There will be an opportunity to discuss the issues raised by the talk at ‘Hot Potatoes’ on Tuesday 22nd July. Then at on July 13th we welcomed Anthony Delaney, who has a special gift and heart for evangelism, on the theme of "Sharing your faith without losing your friends". He was entertaining and challenging! On August 31st we have one of our occasional film specials - "Click", a funny, thought-provoking box office hit on the dangers of fast-forwarding your life. Recommended for all busy people! |
