Alpha is a 15-session practical and contemporary introduction to the Christian faith which was developed at Holy Trinity Brompton. It's especially designed for people who don't go to church but want to explore what the Christian faith is all about, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions and put their own point of view. Alpha courses are now running across the world in all different branches of the Christian church, including Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic. Over 2 million people in the UK have taken part in an Alpha course, and as well as in churches and homes courses take place in all sorts of places, including offices, universities, warships and prisons, where the government recognises Alpha has had a significant positive impact.
Our next Alpha course begins on Wednesday October 1st, with an introductory supper on Wednesday September 17th
Contact the church office to reserve your place on the supper or on the course, or for more information about Alpha at St. Paul's.
Kings Church and St Peter's Norbiton are two of the other local churches regularly running Alpha courses - you can contact them via our "Links" page.
The Course runs on Wednesday nights starting at 7.15 pm with a meal, followed by a talk and coffee, then an opportunity for comments, questions and discussion. The evening wraps up at 9.30 pm. It is a rare opportunity to air those thoughts and ask those questions you have always wanted to, but have never had a comfortable forum within which to do so.
