I was appointed as Vicar in summer 2004, am married to Heather, and we have one daughter, Pippa. We love being in Kingston and part of St Paul's. There's always lots going on - it's sometimes challenging, often exciting and never dull! In our spare time, I love the Vikings (just reading and writing about them, not looting and pillaging!), Heather loves cooking and we all love books and coffee shops. |

Born in the Highlands of Scotland, which will always be the most beautiful part of the world. Met husband John at St Andrew's University while studying theology. Was told in 1975 I "would be a Vicar one day!" but joined the Diplomatic Service instead… Four children and 25 years later I was ordained in October 2000 as a non-stipendiary minister. My passion is to worship God and to enable others to do the same. I am also involved with the pastoral care of the church. In my spare time I love to relax with family and friends over a good meal, sing and get creative - not necessarily all at the same time! |
Hi! I'm Sally Butler, the full-time youth worker at St.Paul's. I oversee the work amongst our 3 - 18 year olds, but mainly get involved with the 'youf' (11+). I lead some of the services and I also preach occasionally. Pet likes: chocolate, music, 'Frasier', chocolate, theatre, yellow things esp. sunflowers, watching 'Wimbledon' and yes… chocolate! Pet hates: clothes labels that stick out, the colour turquoise, spiders (aaargh!), peas (yuk!), being called Sal (Sals is fine!) |
If you are checking out the website because you're thinking of coming on the Alpha course or something organised by St.Paul's then let me reassure you. We're a mixed bunch, coming from all sorts of backgrounds and nationalities, but what I've found and what I like is that St.Paul's is a place for everyone. For my part, I am married to Daphne who trained as a nurse and we have a lively son called Brandon. My role at St.Paul's is to help people find ways of making a positive difference in the communities where they live and work. |
Married to Joy, our adminstrator was brought up in Birmingham and brings a wide range of experience in Church leadership from Elim and Pioneer streams. He is part of our preaching team as well as a leader on the Alpha course. He is a keen follower of Kingstonian FC and enjoys eating out, fine wines and watching movies. |

Paul Middleton (Churchwarden) |
He was born in Glasgow and now considers himself a London Scot. Works as an architect in education and is married to Pamela who also shares a passion for the arts. Has been around St. Paul's for 5 years and hopes to see all of us inspired and envisioned by Christ in all we do together. Loves to travel and sketch along the way and is a London tour guide with an interest in city churches. Often to be seen cycling around Richmond Park. Likes getting people together and loves to pray, read and listen to music. |
Studied music at the Vienna Conservatoire, Worcester College Oxford and at the Guildhall School of Music. He has worked in music and teaching and spent considerable time in social work. Tony has been deeply involved in the life of All Souls Langham Place, St. Paul's Portman Square and Holy Trinity Brompton before joining St. Paul's in 1985 as organist and keyboard player. His hobbies are cooking, getting people together and successfully finding wonder bargains in Charity Shops! He enjoys good music across the whole gamut, and wants other people to do so too - four times a year he organises popular concerts in St Paul's which raise hundreds of pounds for charity. |
