The Great Feast

In the spring our neighbours at St Peter's Norbiton noticed a growing number of people congregating in their church garden who had previously been supported by Kaleidoscope. Many of them were addicts (both drugs and alcohol) and elsewhere they were often seen as a nuisance and moved on. Remembering Jesus’ attitude to the marginalised, St Peter’s decided to welcome them. Now the church is open every Wednesday for “The Great Feast”: from 11.30am until 2.00pm there is story telling, faith sharing and discussions, followed by a meal. Between 35 and 50 come each week and their response has been extremely positive, with many fascinating conversations.

If you would like to get involved you’d be very welcome - you could help with meal preparation or tidying up, share in conversations, provide gifts in kind like a cake, bread or soup, or pray for some of those who come. Please contact Peter Holmes (Vicar of St Peter’s) on 8546 3212 if you would like to help in some way.
