cricket2010In July 2010 a St Paul's UK XI got their revenge on the Rest of the World XI by beating them comprehensively on the Hawker Centre cricket pitch as the spectators ate hot dogs and strawberries in the sunshine and the children had their faces painted.

The Big Clean

BigcleanJust before Easter 2010 the church underwent a major spring-clean.  Yes, there were mops and dusters, but they were used to reach some unlikely places - places that hadn't been reached for a long time!  And the boys there had great fun playing with the cherry-picker we hired in for the day. Women's events

womensbreakfastIt all started with a women's breakfast - and since then the women's ministry at St Paul's has grown to include women's days, quiet days at Jennifer Rees-Larcombe's house, walks, meals, and more. And of course it still focuses around the women's breakfasts, which regularly bring over 100 St Paul's women together for the chance to get to know each other better, a yummy breakfast, and a speaker (including in the past Mary Pytches, Fiona Castle, Karen Bailey, etc.).

St. Paul's Weekend Away

ashburnhamIn July 2010 over 100 St Paul's members had a fantastic weekend away at Ashburnham near Battle in Sussex. The weather was glorious, the surroundings idyllic, the lake refreshing, the worship uplifting and our speaker Peter Harwood thought-provoking, inspiring and challenging.  The children had a brilliant time with Ashley Benson (thanks Louise and Pete, Luke and Joel!), and the creche team made sure the youngest were well looked after, too (thanks Kate, Pippa and Sarah!). All in all it was a brilliant weekend.
