In July 2008 170 members of St Paul's had a fantastic weekend away at Ashburnham near Battle in Sussex. The weather turned out much better than forecast, so we were able to enjoy the glorious grounds in this idyllic setting. Andy Hickford was our guest speaker, and he entertained us, inspired us and challenged us, helping us think through how we are God's fellow workers, acting out our part in his great plan of salvation. The children and young people had a really good time in their own groups, and at the final all-age communion service on the Sunday morning they shared with the adults some of what they had been doing.  We look forward to returning to Ashburnham in summer 2010!
