8.00am ~ Holy Communion is a traditional service using the Book of Common Prayer (1662). First Sunday of the month as well as Christmas Day and Easter Day. 9.00am ~ Liturgical Service of Holy Communion, except the first Sunday of the month which is Morning Prayer. The service follows Common Worship 2000, with sermons based on the Lectionary. 10.30am ~ Morning Worship for all ages with a relaxed structure, meeting God through worship, prayer, preaching, fellowship and other creative ways. Holy Communion usually takes place once a month at 10.30, and there is also a monthly all-age service. Baptisms and thanksgivings normally take place in this service. Younger people usually leave for their own groups, apart from the monthly all-age service. There is also a staffed creche.
6.30pm ~ Evening Worship An informal service of worship, preaching and ministry, sometimes in a lively style and sometimes gentle. Communion is celebrated monthly. There are regular special services relating faith to contemporary culture; topics covered include issues such as education, politics, contemporary films and authors. |
